in the park Pod

Stepping in to fill the gaps and create space for new conversations, In The Park, is a new guest-based ADK podcast focusing on the Community, Recreation, and Conservation of the blue line and beyond.

The Adirondacks have a longstanding precedent as a rugged landscape with the benefit of natural beauty and solitude. To appreciate and experience this area, its residents have carved out unique lifestyles rich with stories to explore and insights to glean. Throughout our episodes Troy and Nate wander down the heard paths Adirondack residents blaze. Along the way we shed light on the roles we all play in the park and how we shape this landscape into a home and playground for all who love the Blue Line.

Northcountry Kneedroppers

Originally a telemark ski collective and quickly branching outwards, Northcountry Kneedroppers is a community ski project based in and formed by the Adirondack Mountains.

NOCO Ski Initiative

Lets face it, skiing in the Daks is weird. Our best ski routes are terrain traps with avalanche risk and the densest woods skiing you could dream of. When you combine this with our signature long approaches we cook up some pretty unique and challenging backcountry ski scenarios. Despite all of this, NorthCountry skiers have been exploring these mountains for a century and constantly adapting to have the best winter experiences possible.

What does this mean to Noco Kneedroppers?
More than ever having the right gear, knowledge, community, and trail access is necessary to get the most out of skiing in the Park. Noco is here to provide a supportive and accessible ADK ski community where having fun, keeping it weird, and responsible recreation are the staples of every ski excursion.
Also we Tele, that's important too.

Old Town Peapod Restoration Pt. 1
A thorough restoration of a 16' Costal Peapod originally built by Old Town Canoe. Back in late August I wrapped up my season as the Trek and Program Director at Sabattis Scout Reservation, the summer camp I have been involved with for 12 years and what I can attribute much of my love of waterways and boating to.
